India houses 12 Jyotir-linga temples. Every Jyotir-linga is the Lord of a zodiac sign (12 raashis). When we visit the Jyotir-linga temple that matches our raashi and do jaap at the temple, we receive uplifting blessings from our benefactor made of divine light. The nature of our souls is Unity but when mind & soul entered the realm of matter which is characteristic of diversity, we were divided into 12 zodiac signs. By learning to adjust with personalities belonging to any zodiac sign, we learn the skill of transcending the disparities in the traits of all zodiac signs and thereby take our mind and soul towards the region of Unity.
